The Henderson-headquartered Las Vegas Raiders sit at 4-4 and face a three-game stretch that will determine their playoff chances.

It starts Sunday, Nov. 8, when the Raiders visit the 6-1 San Francisco 49ers. Kickoff is 1:25 p.m. PT on FOX, according to the Raiders' game preview.

Games against the Seattle Seahawks and at the Denver Broncos follow. Those three opponents are a combined 16-7, AP sports writer Mark Anderson reported from Henderson.

The 49ers could be the toughest test. San Francisco has a top-10 scoring offense and a top-10 defense coming off a bye week, according to the Raiders' preview. Quarterback Brock Purdy has a 69.2 completion percentage, 15 passing touchdowns and a 110.1 passer rating, all top-five marks in the league.

Raiders coach Klint Kubiak has some familiarity with the opponent. He served as San Francisco's passing game coordinator in 2023, and his brother Klay is the 49ers' offensive coordinator.

"This is November football," cornerback Eric Stokes said, according to the AP report. "This is what you live for, this is what you want, especially 4-4 and everything still in our power. So this is exactly what we want coming up."

The math is clear. Winning all three games would put the Raiders at 7-4. Since the NFL expanded the playoff field to 14 teams in 2020, 23 of 27 teams with that record made the postseason, according to the AP report. At 6-5, only 11 of 29 teams qualified.

Quarterback Kirk Cousins, in his 15th NFL season, is second in the league with 19 passing touchdowns, according to the Raiders' preview. The team ranks sixth in points per game at 27.6. Kubiak has helped build that offense in his first season as an NFL head coach.

The Raiders got back to .500 with a 38-33 comeback win over the New York Jets on Nov. 1, as the Las Vegas Sun reported. Tight end Brock Bowers stood out with seven catches for 92 yards and two touchdowns.

"It was huge," Stokes said of the Jets win, according to the AP report. "Everybody knows that. We needed the (win) and we got it done."

On the injury front, second-year cornerback Darien Porter did not practice Wednesday with a groin injury, according to the AP report. He has shared the position with rookies Hezekiah Masses and Jermod McCoy.

After the 49ers game, the Raiders host the 4-4 Seahawks before traveling to Denver.
